Can’t find your answer? In the app, open Settings → Help → Send feedback: it starts an email with your app version and phone model filled in, which helps us fix things faster. Or write to privacy@wanderreel.app.

Getting places in

How do I save a reel?

In Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, tap Share, then Wanderreel. A small sheet opens over the app and reads the post. You can also open Wanderreel and use Paste links (several at once is fine), or choose screenshots or a screen recording from your gallery.

It found no places, or fewer than the reel shows.

Wanderreel reads the caption, the pictures of a post and, for many Instagram reels, the video itself. When the places are only spoken, or the app cannot get the video, they are not read. A screen recording of the reel, played slowly, or a few screenshots, is the dependable way: share them to Wanderreel the same way.

Instagram says it can’t show the post.

Instagram sometimes refuses to show a post to anything but the Instagram app. Try again in a while, or share a screenshot or screen recording of it instead.

What does “Why this place?” show?

The reason the place is in the post, the exact words or picture that pointed to it, and how sure Wanderreel is. If a place is wrong, tap Fix to rename it, or Find on map to pick the right one on Google Maps. Swipe a place left to skip it.

Trips and plans

How are trips made?

Places you keep are grouped into a trip for their country. You can rename a trip, move a place to another trip, combine two trips to the same country, or put a trip away with Archive (it stays in Archived on the Trips screen). Archiving is your own choice: it does not hide the trip from anyone you share it with.

How do I get a day-by-day plan?

Open a trip, choose how many days, and tap Plan my trip. Wanderreel groups nearby places into days, then you can drag stops to reorder them, move them between days, set times, or add the places that did not fit. Add the trip’s start date and each day gets its date.

What does “Usually closed on Mondays” mean?

With a start date set, Wanderreel compares each stop’s day and time with the place’s regular opening hours from Google Maps and warns when it is probably shut. “Usually” because regular hours do not know about holidays or special closures: check with the place before you go.

Can I share a trip with someone?

Yes. Sign in with Google, open the trip, tap the people icon and choose Invite to edit or Invite to view, then send the link. They open it in Wanderreel (they need the app and a Google sign-in too). A trip can have up to 8 people.

Your account and your data

Do I need an account?

No. Without one your places stay on your phone. An account lets you keep trips safe across phones and share them.

What does Wanderreel send, and keep?

See the privacy policy. In short: the link, text or pictures you share are sent to our server to be read; places in a trip you keep in your account are stored there so your phones and the people you share with see the same trip; there is no advertising and no tracking. If you switch on Settings → Help → Send crash reports, a crash sends a report to Google's Crashlytics (what failed and where, the app version, your phone model and its state), and nothing you saved. It is off until you turn it on.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Your data → Delete everything saved clears this phone. Settings → Account → Delete my account deletes your account and what is stored with it (see account deletion). Deleting the app or the account does not cancel a subscription: cancel that in Google Play first.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes: Settings → Your data → Export my data saves your trips, places and plans as a file you choose where to keep.

Wanderreel Plus

What is Plus?

An optional subscription that raises the monthly allowance and unlocks extras. What is included, the price and any trial are shown in the app (Settings → Wanderreel Plus) and in Google Play before you buy. A Trip Pass is one month of Plus for one payment, with nothing to cancel. See the terms.

Can one trip cover several countries?

Yes, with Plus. Open a trip and choose Combine with a trip to another country, then Make a new trip with both. The new trip holds the places of every country, and the plan is laid out by distance, so each country gets its own days. Both original trips stay as they are. Without Plus, a trip is one country; a trip across countries you already made keeps working if Plus ends.

How do I cancel?

In Google Play: Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wanderreel. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.

Still stuck?

Write to privacy@wanderreel.app and say what you were doing and what you expected. A screenshot helps.
